Quality home inspections gives you a comprehensive idea of what’s going on in a property – including things the untrained eye might miss. A home is a big investment, and one that you don’t want to get wrong. Any house, old or new, can have problems. But spotting them before you sign on the dotted line means you know what you’re getting yourself into.
Thorough building inspections for buyers
When purchasing your dream home, you don’t want any nasty surprises. A building inspection report analyses the property top to bottom, giving you all the information you need to make your decision. Knowing what you’re buying is important – whether it’s any major problems to address or opportunities to add value in the future!
Helpful home inspections for sellers
When selling, a building inspector report ensures you’re not underselling your home. A report will point out parts of the house that need work before selling, giving you the chance to get them fixed and add additional value to your home.
Your home inspector
Grant Tibbits knows the Auckland property scene inside out. Having been in the business for 10 years, he knows all the tricks of the trade in helping people purchase and sell their homes.
Grant entered the building industry back in the 80s, first as a carpenter and then as a self-employed builder. After spending time with the Ministry of Transport as a Traffic Officer, he became a Forensic Crime Scene Examiner when his department merged with the New Zealand Police. So all in all, he’s had quite a varied career!
In 2010, he turned his keen eye for detail and the expertise he’d picked up over the years back to the building industry. After retraining as a pre-purchase home inspector, he started The Property Inspectors and has been busy inspecting houses since!
